- Is there funding available to support travel to and attending the conference?
US-based researchers can apply to NASA for "LISA Symposium Travel Grants". The deadline for these is the 5th of April. Full details can be found here: https://cresst2.breezy.hr/p/66641bfaf819
Tertiary students who are citizenes of an ESA Member State, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia or Slovenia can apply for "ESA Academy Student Sponsorship". The deadline for application is the 14th of April. Full details can be found on the ESA Academy Student Sponsorship page.
At the moment there is no other funding available to support travel or registration fees. We will update this FAQ if more becomes available.
- I need a visa to visit Ireland. Who can help me with this?
You can request a registration confirmation letter during the registration process. For all other visa inquiries please email Lisa2024reg@keynotepco.ie.
- Can I attend the LISA Symposium if I am not a member of the LISA Consortium?
Yes! The Symposium is open to all and has been around for longer than the LISA Consortium.
- Can I modify my registration?
Yes. When you go to the registration page you can choose to modify your registration. This allows you to update your details, or add extras (accommodation or optional excursion) if you wish.
- I can no longer attend the meeting. Can I get a refund?
All refunds requested prior to the 10th of April 2024 are subject to cancellation terms and subject to a €25 fee. From the 11th of April this rises to a €50 fee. No refunds are given after the 14th of May 2024. Please see the Terms and Conditions for delegate registrations (accessible via the registration system). - Will remote attendance be possible?
We are pleased to announce that all talks will be streamed remotely. You can find the Zoom links to the sessions in the program. Some of the plenary talks will also be recorded.
- Is there support for childcare during the Symposium?
If you require childcare whilst at the Symposium please get in touch with Barry Wardell (barry.wardell@ucd.ie) and the local organising committee will discuss the options with you. At the moment their is no financial support for childcare.
For children aged 5-12 UCD run summer camps on campus. These take place a short walk from the conference venue. Please see https://www.ucd.ie/sportfacilities/ucdchildrensmultisportcamps/ for more details.
